While True: Learn() Free Download

Updated: Nov 28, 2020

About This Game ABOUT THE GAMEwhile True: learn() is a puzzle/simulation game about even more puzzling stuff: machine learning, neural networks, big data and AI. But most importantly, it’s about understanding your cat.In this game, you play as a coder who accidentally found out that their cat is extremely good at coding, but not as good at speaking human language. Now this coder (it’s you!) must learn all there is to know about machine learning and use visual programming to build a cat-to-human speech recognition system.Learn how machine learning works in real lifeThe game is loosely based on real-life machine learning technologies: from goofy Expert Systems to mighty Recurrent Neural Networks, capable of predicting the future. Don’t worry: it all plays out as a puzzle game. No coding experience required!Train yourself into a data science wizard!Drag objects around your screen with a mouse! Connect them with lines (oh yeah)! Try. Fail. Optimize. Try again. Then press “Release” button and see that sweet pieces of data flow smoothly through your screen.Embrace an adventurous lifestyle of a machine learning specialist! Designing a groundbreaking technology requires time, experience and money. That means you’ll have to work as a freelancer, with all the excitement that comes along with it. Receive emails! Accept contracts! Sit alone in a dark room for days without saying a single word! Socialize on forums! That’s what real data scientists do!Coding just got real!Our quests are based on actual problems, solved by machine learning. This includes building a self-driving car (with your cat as a pilot). And if you really want to test your programming might, you can become a CTO of a startup: it’s your skills and your schemes against the savage laws of the market! Earn a fortune, flip off your bosses and become a tech guru… Or lose everything and crawl back to the doorstep of HR department: at least it was worth trying, right?Improve your gear, improve your life!Once you ensure a stable cashflow, you’ll be able to buy yourself a bunch of fancy hardware to improve your performance. But it’s not just about the hardware! Buy yourself a new smartphone or a geeky figurine! Buy fancy outfits for your cat! Hell, you can even buy yourself an aloe!Fun fact: this is what machine learning specialists actually do. Now, you can become one of them (minus the money)! while True: learn() is the best game about being a data science specialist because no one else has been weird enough to make another one! 1075eedd30 Title: while True: learn()Genre: Indie, SimulationDeveloper:Luden.ioPublisher:NivalRelease Date: 17 Jan, 2019 While True: Learn() Free Download IMHO this would make a better cell phone game than PC game. I was expecting to punching in command lines like other mock programming games on Steam. INstead, it is more like "get blue dots across the screen". I beat the game in about 15 hours, which I feel is a tad short for 10 bucks. However, the developer has promised future levels.. A very nice puzzle game about programming and AI. The theme about learning how to speak with your cat is funy and the humor fits the theme. It is also nice to see actually correct news and informative links. All in all is the game a nice balance between fun and learning. A must for computer science students.. It won't teach you machine learning by itself; however, it's very useful for visually conceptualizing and understanding parallel resource management and ensemble network design. It's fun, challenging, and well designed. The music is prettty catchy. All craftsdwarfship is the highest quality. The item is encircled with bands of support vectors.. Pros:- Nice visuals- Decent difficulty curve, completing a level with bronze is easy while gold can be challengingCons:- Repetitive missions, "sort red squares here and green triangles there"- Adding new "logic" blocks doesn't really make a difference for how the game works, they just move stuff in a slightly different way. In-game functions of these blocks have very little to do with how these algorithms work in real life, so "educational" claims of this game are really dubious- The only stuff which works for me is taken from games like Spacechem or Infinifactory. As soon as the author tries to implement their own ideas, it blows up in their face. "Reinforcement Learning" missions simply don't work as they should.Save your money.. Love this game! I've been meaning to learn more about machine learning for a while now, but between classes and work I didn't feel like I had the time. while True makes coding into a fun activity rather than something I need to make time for.. Pretty fun, pretty cool, but you won't learn much at all about ML. More of visual pseudo-ML-code than anything else, unfortunately. Fun game, but frustrating at times due to a lack of explanation (imo). If you're not looking to learn, great game. If you are, I certainly wouldn't start here.. The game has a great concept and for the most part, it works great. However there are multiple "levels" that are simply impossible to achieve the highest rating on. I've come across bug after bug while playing, and it makes it extremely frustrating when you've spent a long time on a puzzle only to find out that it's impossible.. Zachtronics like puzzles, but not with the Zachtronics like quality. Many of the puzzles are rather trivial. Then there are the "Reinforcement Learning puzzles". Although a lot of people are complaining that they don't understand what to do, the devs can't be bothered to explain how these puzzles work. I got gold medals for several of these puzzles by spending a lot of time with them, but I have still no idea how these puzzles work. Maybe they are bugged. On the forum the devs recommend just skipping these puzzles: not nice towards people who want to finish all the puzzles.. This game is a series of abstract puzzles where you sort shapes and colors, with very little linkage to the underlying theme of machine learning, let alone cat behavior. The success criteria were given little explanation, so I wasn't sure what I needed to do to improve. There is no in-game help, and few tips online, other than an stream of comments on Discord. I did find an excellent video review by Chris Davis and I completely agree with his comments, so I suggest that you watch it before purchasing the game.. I have very mixed feelings about this game. I really wanted to like it, but it just doesn't hold up. I was hoping for a Zachtronics-style game, maybe a bit easier or harder, but with a similar mentality. This is not that. The bulk of this game is sorting colored (R\/G\/B) shapes (circle, square, triangle) into buckets. Unfortunately, once you've figured out the first few puzzles, it never really gets any harder. The puzzle that finally pushed me to a negative comment was "Shape Recognition." I counted, and it's the 45th puzzle in the game. It's entire purpose is to pick out the squares and trash the rest of the shapes, that's it. And yes, there are devices which allow this to be done easily, and yes, you've already done this two dozen times as parts of other puzzles. It requires 2 modules and a garbage can, and you wouldn't have been able to get to this point in the game without being able to do the task.The other part of the game involves creating a driving AI for cats. It's a cute idea, but the AI doesn't learn. It's supposed to be a genetic algorithm sort of thing, but you're limited in the number of generations you're allowed, and it doesn't seem like the AI learns anything. If you don't happen to randomly spawn a good performer, then you're not going to pass the task. You can try to train the AI, but it has no effect. The car will simply drive up to the bumper of another car and then tailgate it at 50 km\/h, no matter what you do. (In all fairness, you can spawn a random AI that will change lanes erratically, and these can, by pure chance, wind up passing the checkpoints, but the point is that nothing you do as the player has any real impact in this part of the game.)
